The meeting took place at the Havana embassy in Kiev, with the presence of the ambassador for Cuba, Natacha Diaz, and the president of the Organization of Veterans of Space and Rocket Forces of Kiev, Alexander Naumov.

Directors and members of the Ukrainian Association of Veterans of the Missile Crisis, of the Association of Veterans of the Zhytomyr region, of the Stop the Blockade Committee, and officials from the Cuban embassy also participated.

During the meeting, Díaz updated the attendees on the situation in Cuba, the campaign to discredit the country and denounced the strong impact of the US blockade against the economy and other spheres of national life.

The diplomat thanked the support of the organizations present in the fight against misinformation and in promoting solidarity actions for the benefit of the Cuban people.

In response, the veterans reiterated their unconditional support for Cuba. They recalled their trips to the country and expressed the eternal gratitude of their people to the Cuban for the health care program that favored children from Chernobyl after the disaster.
