US troops remain under fire in Iraq

Baghdad, Sep 1 (Prensa Latina) US troops remain under fire in Iraq with a recent attack on a caravan in the southern province of Diwaniyah, Saberin news channel informed on Wednesday.

So far, no group claimed responsibility for the action, nor did the source report on material damages or casualties in the incident.

The Pentagon-led international military coalition has been subjected to harassment in almost all Iraqi territory, which is why US soldiers seek local carriers for their logistics operations.

In January 2020, Parliament unanimously approved a decree forcing the withdrawal of US forces from Iraq.

This decision was in response to the assassinations by US aircraft in Baghdad of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani and the Deputy Commander of the Popular Mobilization Units, Abu Mahdi al-Mohandes.
