In a congratulation message to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, the Chinese statesman highlighted that country’s development under the leadership of the Workers’ Party and its determination to further advance in the socio-economic progress.

The head of State emphasized the strength of the friendship between China and the DPRK, the close communication at the government and party levels, and the willingness to work together for the continuous strengthening of ties.

Xi also reaffirmed his will to expand cooperation in multiple sectors and in benefit of both peoples.

The DPRK was established on September 9, 1948, under the guidance of Kim Il Sung, who was considered the Father of the Nation.
