FANB guarantees security in recent electoral drill

Caracas, Oct 10 (Prensa Latina) The Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) on Sunday deployed over 1,000 troops to guarantee security during the country´s electoral drill ahead of Nov. 21 elections.

Sectorial Vice President of Citizen Security and Peace Remigio Ceballos reported on coordination from the Strategic Operational Command of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (CEOFANB) and the Citizen Security Organizations to ensure peace and security at 446 polling stations.

Mr. Ceballos stressed that ‘in the Civic-Military-Police Union we will guarantee efficiency, patrolling and permanent monitoring before, during and after the electoral drill, in order to prevent any irregular situation and act decisively and forcefully.’

The CEOFANB President Domingo Hernández, on the other hand, urged the people to participate and gave them confidence in its democratic and constitutional guarantees.

In line with it, the National Electoral Council (CNE) deployed as many as 3,232 officials including operators and technicians of the Automated Voting System (AVS) and personnel from 23 Regional Electoral Boards (JRE) and 333 Municipal Boards.
