50 kilometers from the capital city of Cuban province of Villa Clara, the CMHS Radio Caibarién station has won the mentioned award for three consecutive years.
OX Awards are honorary recognitions granted free of charge by Editorial OX to quality websites broadcasting from Spanish-speaking countries on the Internet in Spanish, whose information topics may be addressed to the whole family and stand out for their content, creativity, ease of navigation and diffusion.
Delgado stressed that the radio station has held the award thanks to its identity content, gender defense and protection of children, among other qualities.
“Once you get this award, you remain in competition forever, but it can be taken away from you, but we are going to keep it, because every day we try to improve ourselves in the task of broadcasting the best values of the people of our humble and hard-working town”, she pointed out.
The OX radio distinction celebrates 20 years since the first awards were granted in 2002, and is an honorary recognition given for the quality of the websites, the dynamics, the applied digital innovations, the tools that allow better viability and the creativity of the staff keeping them active.
The CMHS Radio Caibarién station was also this year the only Cuban project to win in the media category of the 2021 World Summit Award on the Information Society (WSIS).
