During the meeting in Brussels, the representatives of Yerevan and Baku analyzed the process of implementation of the tripartite declarations of November 9th, 2020, January 11th and November 26th, 2021, with the participation from the President of Russia Vladimir Putin.

Pashinyan expressed his commitment to the implementation of these agreements and expressed the need to immediately resolve humanitarian problems, guarantee the return of prisoners of war and other detained civilians.

Issues related to the opening of regional transport routes, the resumption of rail transport and the measures necessary to reduce tension in the region were discussed during the meeting.

Michel stressed the importance of restoring the communications between Armenia and Azerbaijan, in particular, and the Southern Caucasus in general, with full respect for the sovereignty of all countries.

Yerevan and Baku decided to proceed with the restoration of railways with adequate borders and customs control measures based on the principle of reciprocity. Pashinian stressed that this will allow Armenia to have rail access to Iran and Russia.
