An official communique, issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and posted on Twitter by Foreign Minister Felix Plasencia, sends greetings to the Cubans on behalf of President Nicolas Maduro for the victories and resistance achieved for more than 60 years against the United States’ attempts to overthrow the revolutionary process.

Likewise, the text reiterates the unbreakable friendship between the two counties and the support for Cuba and its Government under any circumstances.

It highlights the leadership of the Revolution’s historic leaders, Fidel Castro and Raul Castro, as well as President Miguel Diaz-Canel, who have guided the country in its struggle against the United States and its pretensions.

The message also highlights the dignity, fighting spirit and resistance along 63 years by the Cuban people, who have made it possible to maintain the successes achieved after the defeat of Fulgencio Batista’s dictatorship on January 1, 1959.

This process gave way to a new era in Cuba with the revolutionary triumph, which they have maintained despite Washington’s blockade, aggressions and all challenges they have faced.
