Precisely on the fourth day of 1959, the guerrilla leader upon his arrival in this city said that “if virtually the entire city has gathered here in this square, it is because the citizens are interested in their destiny”.

On that occasion, the Liberty Square was the place chosen for the massive reception, and on this day it will again be the same place where the people will remember Fidel Castro’s message, “because the citizens are interested in everything that concerns their future and their rights”.

In a conference with the local press media, the first secretary of the Provincial Committee of the Young Communist League (UJC), Kely Alvarez, said that the tour coming from Las Tunas from the east, will have as protagonists students, doctors and different representatives of the sectors of society.

The evening schedule will be decorated with the national flag and the banner of July 26, National Rebellion Day, to remember the triumph of ideas, just causes and progressive struggles in Latin America, which have the Cuban Revolution as a reference.
