“The National Coordinator of Solidarity with Cuba, Costa Rica joins the slogan of #60yearsofResistance, after recalling today the date on which Washington formalized, due to interventionist political wills, surrounding Cuba to try prevent its vital, economic and technological development”, highlights a statement from the solidarity group.

The blockade, he points out, has had the unsuccessful purpose of “bending the undefeated dignity of the Cuban brothers and sisters who today stand as solid columns of unity and international solidarity, after 63 years of resistance and combat in a genocidal war declared by this empire.”

The Coordinator maintains that the World Solidarity Networks to which it belongs will continue to work to accompany the Cuban people at every stage of their resistance and we will never abandon them in the struggle for sovereignty and freedom of their nation.

He asserted that human rights also belong to Cubans and therefore the genocidal North American State, is responsible “for the loss of human lives of hundreds of Cubans who have decided not to live as traitors of their country, but as heroes of it”.

“We demand an immediate end to the economic, political and technological war against Cuba! Cuba YES, Yankees NO!” concludes the text of the Costa Rican Coordinator.
