Cuban FM condemns validity of coercive US measures

Havana, Feb 7 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez on Monday reaffirmed that in spite of the lack of evidence concerning alleged attacks on US diplomats in Havana, the United States maintains its coercive sanctions on the Cuban people.

“The United States government has found no evidence of any attack on US diplomats in Havana. However, #Cuba is the only country in the world the United States has imposed and still applies coercive measures affecting the Cuban people,” he posted on Twitter.

A panel of experts, created by the Joe Biden Administration, has recently concluded there are “information gaps” to determine cause of health incidents reported by US diplomats around the world.

The specialists considered that “some electromagnetic energy” might be behind rare symptoms, first reported late 2016 by US officials in Havana.

Over 200 US diplomats and foreign service officials have faced the alleged symptoms Washington initially described as an “acoustic attack”.
