During a ceremony in Husseiniya, in the southern village of Maaroub, Hezbollah Deputy Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem convened the political parties represented in the unicameral legislature to present practical objectives to bring the country out of collapse.

Qassem stated that the formation of the Government is a fundamental issue to boost recovery, “as things could deteriorate more and more if we continue wasting time on individual disputes.”

The representative of the Party of God rejected the refusal and abstention by some parliamentary blocs to participate in the formation of the cabinet, “a position that would slow down any progress towards the restoration of the nation,” he stressed.

He stated that the division in the country is an expression of the US position that works to annul any achievement during this period and accentuates the population’s problems of life.

The Loyalty to the Resistance bloc and the Islamic Action Front called for the speedy formation of the Government in Lebanon to deal with issues such as the approval of the recovery plan, the stability of the national currency exchange rate and the protection of depositors’ money.
