Plus, it detailed Friday’s reports exceeded by 641 the number of Covid-19 patients confirmed on Thursday, as 46,452 new infections and 81 deaths were reported.

Most of those infected were detected in Moscow, with 6,915 cases, followed by St. Petersburg with 4,214 new cases.

Nationwide, according to the center, as many as 4,354 patients were hospitalized in the last 24 hours, 11.3% more than on the previous day.

Altogether, 32,642 people were discharged from the hospital, accounting for a 3.2% drop compared to Thursday´s report.

Russia has accumulated 19,359,066 confirmed cases of Covid-19 so far, including 18,467,738 recoveries and 384,000 deaths.

The Federal Service for the Oversight of Consumer Protection and Welfare (Rospotrebnadzor), on the other hand, detailed that over 502.8 million of tests have been conducted to date.
