Migrant buses dropped off by Texas close to VP Harris´ house

Washington, Sep 15 (Prensa Latina) Texas' governor said his state intentionally sent two buses of migrants to Vice President Kamala Harris' house in the nation's capital -- resulting in a Thursday morning arrival that surprised volunteers who said they weren't prepared to receive them at that site.

Amid partisan battles over the Joe Biden administration’s immigration policies, Republican Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and from Arizona Doug Ducey adopted the strategy of sending migrants on buses to cities with Democratic mayors.

Abbott said on Twitter that “We´re sending migrants to your backyard to ask the Biden Administration to do its job and secure the southern border.”

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis also joined such an initiative, devised by former President Donald Trump, who sent two planes carrying migrants to Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts on Wednesday.
