Venezuela considers momentous decision at OPEC+ meeting

Caracas, Oct 5 (Prensa Latina) The sectoral Vice President of Economy of Venezuela, Tareck El Aissami, considered transcendental the decision adopted today at the 33rd OPEC+ Ministerial Meeting to reduce oil production by two million barrels per day.

On his Twitter account, the senior official stated that the “balance of the energy market is essential to guarantee a reliable supply for all countries.”

The also Minister of Petroleum of Venezuela referred in another tweet to the imposition of sanctions, that the blockade and aggression of the West against the main hydrocarbon-producing countries.

He believed, in this regard, they are part of the “foolish and irrational measures” that caused the imbalance in the energy markets.

The publication is accompanied by the document approved today at the ministerial meeting, held in Vienna, which states that given the uncertainty in the economic outlook and the world oil market, they adjusted the general production downwards as of November by two million barrels per day .

Likewise, they extended the Declaration of Cooperation until December 31, 2023 and will hold the 34th meeting of OPEC and NON-OPEC on December 4 to come.
