Political organizations from Cuba and Vietnam strengthen ties

Havana, Oct 18 (Prensa Latina) The member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), Rogelio Polanco, met on Tuesday with the permanent secretary of the Central Committee of the Union of Young Communists of Vietnam, Nguyen Ngoc Luong.

On its official Twitter account, the PCC pointed out that Polanco, who is also the head of its Ideological Department, expressed interest in continuing to strengthen relations of friendship and solidarity between the two countries, as a legacy from leaders Fidel Castro and Ho Chi Minh that have been developed over sixty years.

For his part, Nguyen Ngoc Luong thanked Polanco for the reception and the possibility of sharing with Cubans and stressed that both peoples are united by a common cause and historic ties of brotherhood.

Similarly, he expressed his gratitude for the selfless and humane assistance that Cuba has always provided to Vietnam, especially in this recent stage against the Covid-19 pandemic.

Nguyen Ngoc Luong highlighted Cuba’s achievements in its renewal policy and said that a heroic people like this one will be able to solve all the problems that lie ahead and meet the development goals.

Meanwhile, Polanco noted that Vietnam has not only expressed its solidarity with systematic denunciations of the United States’ blockade against Cuba at international forums, but it has also made donations to the Cuban people in a valuable act of solidarity.

At the meeting, Nguyen Ngoc Luong also expressed his desire that the issues of collaboration and exchange between both nations be increasingly nurtured and strengthened and assured that his party has given them the mission of always being by Cuba’s side and supporting it in under way circumstances.
