Huseynov, who was received that same day at the headquarters of Cuba’s diplomatic mission in Baku, by Ambassador Carlos Valdes, expressed the support of the members of Azerbaijan’s solidarity group with the Cuban nation and their desire to further strengthen the traditional ties of friendship between the two peoples.

Valdés informed Prensa Latina that Huseynov, who is also a distinguished People’s Artist of Azerbaijan, delivered the message to the Cuban authorities and its people.

In the letter, he restated that the Cubans were known in the historical memory of Azerbaijan as a friendly nation to which Azerbaijanis wished peace, prosperity, and security.

The Azerbaijani friends also reassured their unconditional support for the development and progress of Cuba, a country to which they have been bound by unshakable ties of brotherhood and friendship since the early years of the revolution.
