Most foreign companies present in Russia have not left

Moscow, Jan 9 (Prensa Latina) Three quarters of foreign companies present in Russia, before February 2022, continue to work in this market, said the president of the State Duma, Viacheslav Volodin.

Volodin specified that 75.9 percent of foreign entities chose to stay in Russia, as they believe in the good prospects for economic development and are satisfied with the business climate in the Russian Federation.

Volodin added that the companies who withdrew from the Russian market in support of the sanctions against the Russian Federation are suffering millions in losses.

Hundreds of companies announced in recent months the decision to suspend their business in and with Russia.

For President Vladimir Putin, the containment policy towards Russia is part of a long-term strategy by the West, whose sanctions are inflicting a heavy blow on the world economy.
