Bolivia and Argentina strengthen energy cooperation

Armin-Dorgathen
La Paz, Apr 4 (Prensa Latina) The state-owned company Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales Bolivianos (YPFB) and YPF Argentina are preparing the joint drilling of a well with a potential of more than one trillion cubic feet of gas in this country.

YPFB Executive President Armin Dorgathen confirmed the signing of an agreement to seal that alliance and assured that the first phase of the investment is estimated at 50 million dollars.

President Luis Arce’s Government is giving priority to the upstream sector, that is, the exploration and production of gas and liquids, Dorgathen stated.

The investments made by YPF Argentina or our subsidiary company bring employment and development to the region,” the business leader said, “and generate a big economic movement. Every oil project has great benefits for the population.”

Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales S.A. (YPF) is an Argentinian energy company engaged in the exploration, exploitation, distillation, distribution, and production of electricity, gas, oil, and hydrocarbon derivatives.
