Beijing, Apr 28 (Prensa Latina) Roberto Morales, member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the Communist Party (PCC), is ending a visit to China in Shanghai, which included tours to interesting sites and the signing of agreements.

The leader and his delegation were received by Zhang Wei, general secretary of the municipal committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), who expressed his willingness to further deepen and enhance bilateral cooperation in multiple fields.

China was the first stop for Morales, which will also take him to Laos and Vietnam.

He was received on Monday by Premier Li Qiang; Cai Qui, member of the Standing Committee of the CCP Political Bureau; and Wang Yi, of Foreign Affairs of the Central Committee of that political organization.

The Chinese authorities expressed China’s willingness to maintain its support to Cuba and showed empathy for the current difficulties and pressures that the island is facing for its independence, sovereignty and against the blockade imposed by the United States.

They also stated that China is willing to promote mutually beneficial cooperation and ratified support for Cuba’s struggle.

On Tuesday, Morales inaugurated the fifth Theoretical Seminar between the Communist Parties of Cuba and China. After the event two agreements were signed on expanding cooperation between the Parties and also the youth organizations of both countries, with immediate effect and with an extension of five years each.

Morales’s ongoing tour will be another opportunity to raise the political dialogue to the highest level and contribute to the continuous development of economic, trade, financial and cooperation relations.
