ACS Council sets integration agenda in Guatemala

Guatemala City, May 11 (Prensa Latina) The 28th Ordinary Session of the Ministerial Council of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS) opened in Guatemala City on Thursday calling for integration to face common challenges.

In his opening remarks, Guatemalan Foreign Minister Mario Búcaro “warmly welcomed the ACS member country delegations and observers of the Consultative and Cooperation Organization to the patrimonial city of Antigua.”

“Serving as president of the Council of Ministers (2022-2023), It´s a great honor to receive wonderful and dear friends,” said Búcaro, who already described as historic the Summit of Heads of State and Government that will be held on coming Friday.

Bucaro praised nations’ delegations in this forum, today’s global challenges, and the significance of integration to overcome them.

“We celebrate each of these events within the framework of this 9th Summit as a firm assurance to the importance of the ACS and unity for our countries,” Bucaro emphasized.
