Cuban expert reflects on the trend of booking trips online

Havana, Aug 1 (Prensa Latina) Cuban professor and researcher José Luis Perelló, according to his analysis there exists a current trend of booking tourist trips online, due to the growing global inflation. In his Facebook account, he pointed to an Internet study on the world's tourism markets, which highlights that 44% of the population booked vacations electronically in the last year.

He said that it is 13 points more compared to the previous year, making it the category of products and services purchased in the online channel that increased the most, according to the third edition of Adevinta’s Digital Pulse Report on the evolution and trends in consumer habits. The report argues that the growth of online shopping is linked to the generalized rise in prices due to inflation and the need for consumers to contrast and choose cheaper options thanks to the web.
