Russian forces deliver aid to vulnerable Syrian families

Damascus, Sep 18 (Prensa Latina) Russian forces still on the ground in Syria delivered at the Damascus Government's request new batches of humanitarian aid on Monday to the most affected families by the war and the blockade.

In a press release, the Russian Coordination Center at the Hemeimem Airbase in Latakia province informed that the soldiers delivered three tons of food to the citizens of Zama village, Jableh district.

According to Major Alexei Belochnikov, a Russian official responsible for distributing the aid, the baskets contained sugar, rice, oil, flour, and tea.

According to Moscow, the Russian Army’s aid to Syria helped to liberate 90 percent of the country’s territory from terrorism.
