Hizbulah confirms casualties in Israeli army after operation

Beirut, Mar 3 (Prensa Latina) The Lebanese Resistance (Hizbulah) confirmed casualties in the ranks of the Israeli army after carrying out an operation in the village of Al-Wazzani.

In a statement, Hizbulah specified that the Israeli troops were forced to fire smoke grenades to cover the evacuation of the dead and wounded by helicopters from the target site.

The action is part of the Resistance’s response in support of the people in the Gaza Strip and in solidarity with Palestinian fighters, the movement reiterated.

Earlier in the day, Hizbulah targeted the surveillance system in Al-Mutela and its missiles hit the Al-Samaqa position in the occupied Lebanese hills of Kfar Shuba.

At the same time, Lebanese fighters fired a heavy Burkan rocket towards the Jal Al-Allam site, in addition to targeting a gathering of enemy soldiers in Jabal Nather.

In this context, Hebrew-language Channel 12 acknowledged the firing of an anti-tank missile towards the settlement of Al-Mutela, more than a kilometer from the Lebanese village of Al-Amari.

Israeli radio reported that an army force came under fire in Ma’ayan Baruch, in the Upper Galilee region; meanwhile, sirens sounded in the Shlomi and Beitset settlements.

Meanwhile, Tel Aviv’s aviation bombed the Tel al-Hamames region and other areas near the southern Lebanese town of Khiam.
