A TRT Arabi (Arabic channel) team vehicle that was preparing to broadcast from the Nuseirat camp was attacked. Sami Shahada, who works as a freelance cameraman, was seriously injured, the channel reported.

The journalist lost a foot and is currently undergoing surgery, the company’s General Director Zahid Sobaci posted on X, who condemned the “Israeli brutality.”

According to TRT, other reporters were injured in this refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, while the New York-venued Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) registered at least 95 media workers killed since the start of the October 7 conflict between Israel and Hamas, 90 of whom are Palestinians.
