Arrests for protests in U.S. universities denounced in Cuba

Havana, May 13 (Prensa Latina) Cuba's Minister of Foreign Affairs (MINREX), Bruno Rodríguez, denounced the arrest of thousands of students and professors in the United States for rallies against Israel's massacre in Gaza.

In his X account, the Cuban Foreign Minister stressed that more than 2,400 U.S. students and university professors have been detained for peacefully denouncing their government’s complicity in Israel’s genocide against the people of Palestine.

The U.S. government lacks the morals to talk about human rights, Rodriguez said in his post.

Students and professors from numerous U.S. institutions, including Yale, Indiana University in Bloomington, Arizona State University and Washington University in St. Louis have been holding demonstrations and encampments since April 18 in protest of the Zionist massacre in Palestine.
