Chilean congressman greets PL for its 65th anniversary

Santiago de Chile, Jun 8 (Prensa Latina) Chilean Congressman Boris Barrera greeted Prensa Latina for the 65th anniversary of its founding, this month, and highlighted the work that the news agency is doing today worldwide.

“Believe me, the role you play in breaking the disinformation of the hegemonic press is very important. Keep going”, the legislator and member of the Communist Party of Chile (PCCh) said.

Founded on June 16, 1959, in Havana, this agency was the first Latin American communication project of international scope with an alternative vision of regional reality.

It currently has around 35 offices in different countries, mostly in the American continent, and broadcasts some 400 daily dispatches in Spanish, English, Portuguese, French, Italian and Russian.

“Today we need a different voice to inspire social movements globally. That is why I send Prensa Latina a warm greeting and recognition for its work in these 65 years”, ex Constituent Assemblyman Hugo Gutiérrez said.

This media outlet delivers its message daily to thousands of newspapers, magazines, television stations, news agencies, and radio stations world wide.
