The two parties dealt with attempts to promote the so called “color revolutions” and the importance of devising a new world order, with Russia as an important player of development.
Shoygu conveyed his fraternal greetings to President Daniel Ortega and Deputy Minister Rosario Murillo, and expressed his will to continue working with Nicaragua on security and peace issues.
According to the information released, the Nicaraguan delegation later met with CEO of the Russian State Corporation for the Promotion of Development, Production and Export of High Technology Industrial Products (Rostec) Serguey Chemezov, in addition they discussed cooperation projects.
The Nicaraguan delegation includes the President’s special representative for Russian affairs, Laureano Ortega; the deputy director of the National Police, Commissioner General Zhukov Serrano; and the Second Chief of the Nicaraguan Army’s Defense Information Directorate, Colonel Álvaro Peña.
Also in the group are the Deputy Director General of the Nicaraguan Institute of Telecommunications and Post, Celia Reyes, and the Nicaraguan Ambassador to Moscow, Alba Torres.
The Nicaraguan representatives will participate in the International Meeting of High Representatives of the BRICS States in charge of security affairs, scheduled for September 11th-12th in the city of St. Petersburg.
