In a message to his counterpart Kim Jong Un, on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of the DPRK, the president added that this policy is in line with ensuring security and stability on the Korean peninsula and in Northeast Asia, the official Kremlin website reported Monday.
“Relations between our countries, based on the good traditions of friendship and good neighborliness, are at a high level; our recent constructive and meaningful talks in Pyongyang fully confirm this,” the message said.
“I am confident that through joint efforts we will continue to systematically strengthen the comprehensive strategic partnership between Russia and the DPRK,” Putin said, concluding that this is undoubtedly in the fundamental interests of both peoples.
