China rejects G7 interference in its nternal affairs

Beijing, Nov 27 (Prensa Latina) China urged the Group of Seven (G7) to respect its sovereignty and rejected interference by these countries in China's internal affairs.

Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning urged them to adopt the spirit of mutual respect and equality instead of attacking and discrediting Beijing.

The spokeswoman rejected the G7’s criticism of China’s alleged support for the Russian defense industry and other issues related to the East Sea, the South Sea, Taiwan, Xinjiang, Tibet and Hong Kong.

Mao stressed that China maintains an objective and fair stance on the crisis in Ukraine, without providing weapons to the parties in conflict and with strict controls on the export of dual-use items, including civilian drones. “China and Russia develop normal trade relations that should not be subject to external interference,” she emphasized.

On the issue of industrial overcapacity allegation in China, Mao called the accusation groundless and backed up her stance with verifiable data. She called on G7 countries to adopt an open mind and promote fair competition.

The spokeswoman reaffirmed China’s positions related to its sovereignty and territorial integrity, demanding the G7 to respect the principles of the UN Charter and avoid interfering in China’s internal affairs. “The world faces unprecedented challenges in peace and development. As a responsible major power, China will continue to promote justice, inclusiveness, and mutual benefit in its development,” she stressed.

The official also called on the G7 to abandon geopolitical games and contribute to international cooperation.
