The tribute to Milanés, who died two years ago in Spain, will take place at Teatro La Fiesta, at the Jaragua Hotel, in this capital.
The show will have the musical direction of Miguel Núñez, one of the artist’s closest collaborators, and will feature an orchestra made up of some of the musicians who played with Milanés, artistic entrepreneur Billy Hasbún, from Vibra Productions, reported.
Hasbún said that Maridalia Hernández, Adalgisa Pantaleón, Pavel Núñez, Frank Ceara and José Antonio Rodríguez would take the stage that day to performing the songs that marked the successful artistic career of Milanés, winner of the National Music Award (2005).
“It will be a spectacular night in which the love that the Cuban singer-songwriter always expressed in each visit he made to the Dominican Republic will be remembered,” the producer of “Dominicana Canta a Pablo” noted.
The author of anthological songs like “El Breve Espacio en Que No Estás,” “Yolanda” or “Para Vivir,” gave his last concert in Cuba at the popular Coliseo de la Ciudad Deportiva five months before his death and after several years of absence from Cuban stages.
