The group also reaffirmed its commitment to the revolutionary legacy of leaders Fidel Castro, Camilo Cienfuegos, Raul Castro, Vilma Espin, Ernesto “Che” Guevara, and other fighters who liberated that Caribbean nation from imperialist domination.
The MCSC recently announced that 2025 will be a year of many activities, as they have joined the World Marathon of Love for Cuba, referring to an initiative promoted by the Continental Network of Solidarity with Cuba and Just Causes.
That initiative will reportedly unfold several actions this year against the US blockade and other hostile policies toward the Caribbean nation and the demand for removing Cuba from Washington’s State Sponsors of Terrorism (SSOT) list.
“The solidarity marathon reaffirms that Cuba is not alone and #TumbaelBloqueo is not just a hashtag in the digital and communicative sphere but also a determination of many in the world to accompany the Caribbean nation to end this imperial policy,” Fernando Gonzalez, president of the Cuban Institute for Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), stated.
