“We commemorate the 66th anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution at the @EmbaCuMex with the spirit of unity of our people,” the diplomatic headquarters informed in a post on X.
“We reaffirm the commitment of present and future generations to be faithful to the principles of sovereignty and independence,” it added.
Cuba marks the date this Wednesday by defending its right to sovereignty, self-determination, and development in the face of the growing hostility of the United States, which has imposed an economic, commercial, and financial blockade for more than six decades.
In a domestic context marked by shortages of products, limitations in services, and the consequences of extreme weather events, Cuba has managed in 2024 to maintain cohesion and advance actions to resolve internal deficiencies and revitalize its economy.
Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel on Tuesday thanked his countrymen for their heroism “in the face of the barbarity of the economic war waged against us.”
