In a statement to the press, the spokesman for the aforementioned Center, Samer Al-Jutaili, said that Riyadh provides urgent help in everything that the Syrian brothers need at this stage in order to achieve stability in the humanitarian situation and reach the phase of early recovery and reconstruction.
Our help focuses on the food and health security sectors by sending food, medical supplies and medicines so that the infrastructure can do its work and provide services, added Al-Jutaili.
According to the official, Riyadh also intends to offer clothes, fuel and flour for bakeries.
Al-Jutaili said he had coordinated with several agencies, ministries and international organizations for the arrival of this aid to Syria, so it was necessary to accurately assess the humanitarian need, determine priorities, develop the necessary plans and then begin implementation and ensure that this aid reaches its beneficiaries on Syrian territory.
For his part, the head of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (MLRAS), Hazem Baqla, explained that this aid initially consists of 6 planes and 2 land convoys that moved from the Kingdom to the Syrian border.
Baqla confirmed that the MLRAS teams are fully prepared to deliver this aid to the beneficiaries.
The entire Syrian territory will be covered fairly and without favoritism so that everyone benefits from the assistance, he said.
Syria has received humanitarian assistance offered by the governments of Kuwait, Jordan and Qatar in recent days. The aftermath of the war that has ravaged Syria since 2011 and the sanctions imposed by the United States and the European Union have left at least 13 million Syrians in need of food aid.
