Noboa immediately launched an attack on Tabacchi and told him that when he was governor of the province of Guayas “it was the most violent period in the history” of that province, while under the current mandate the situation “has improved by 22%.”
However, Noboa assured that all those involved in the case of the children’s disappearance by the military and then found dead “will be held accountable for justice.”
During the debate, dozens of comments on social media lamented the attitude of the president, who is seeking a new term of office from 2025 to 2029.
