Putin explained that despite the “negative external influence,” Moscow and Beijing recorded an increase in trade last year.
Data outlined by Putin for 11 months explained that trade turnover demonstrated growth by more than seven percent and reached more than 220 billion dollars. According to Chinese statistics, full-year trade turnover reached almost 245 billion dollars.
“China is Russia’s main trade partner, and Russia is China’s fifth-largest trade partner,” Putin affirmed.
He added that China is also the largest consumer of Russian energy resources, and Moscow ranks first among oil exporters.
Putin added that they are also implementing successful joint projects in industry, transportation, agriculture, and other sectors, in addition to strengthening humanitarian ties. “Tourist flows, sports, and educational exchanges are increasing,” he argued.
