The two nations’s high-level talks will take place in the Chinese capital on January 26-27 during a meeting of foreign ministers and deputy foreign ministers, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) informed in a brief statement.
The diplomatic source stated that the bilateral mechanism’s resumption stems from the leadership agreement to discuss the next steps for the two-country relations, including the political, economic, and people-to-people fields.
The upcoming meeting to continue the process related to their bilateral relations was preceded by the 23rd meeting of the Special Representatives held in Beijing on December 18, in which National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and his Chinese counterpart on those issues, Foreign Minister Wang Yi, participated.
The MEA underscored that Doval and Wang analyzed peace management in the border areas and explored a fair, reasonable, and mutually acceptable solution.
