“It is obvious that the culprits of this terrorist attack are all Western countries that continue to stubbornly and irresponsibly supply weapons to the Kiev regime, thus contributing to its bloody criminal acts,” the spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry wrote on her Telegram channel.
Yesterday, Ukrainian troops carried out a missile attack on a boarding school in the town of Sudzha, located in the border province of Kursk, in an area that has been under Kiev’s control since last August.
The Russian Defense Ministry confirmed that the action caused an undetermined number of dead and wounded civilians staying in the building, and added that the weapon used were fired from the Ukrainian region of Sumi.
As a result of the war crime, the Russian Investigation Committee announced the opening of a criminal case for terrorism, and marked Colonel Rostislav Karpusha, head of the 19th Autonomous Missile Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as the main perpetrator.
According to the inquiry, the aforementioned military chief in the service of Kiev, issued the illegal order to attack a boarding school in Sudzha with missiles on Saturday.
“Measures are being taken to establish the whereabouts of Karpusha and his accomplices,” the Committee stated.
Russian defense authorities also affirmed that Ukraine’s new provocation in Sudzha was aimed at diverting the world community’s attention from atrocities committed by Ukrainian servicemen in Rússkoye Poréchnoye, another occupied settlement in the Kursk region.
