According to locals, the Zionist military, supported by armored vehicles, entered the village and began to take a census including the number and names of each family, and then brought boxes with food and medical assistance, as well as fuel.
Locals expressed their strong rejection of this Israeli action and assured they would only accept assistance through the government of their country, and demanded the immediate withdrawal of the Tel Aviv troops, which they described as invaders.
Similar actions by the Israeli troops had previously occurred in the towns of Ein al-Nouriya and Kodana, but their initiatives were completely denied by the local community.
Yesterday, the Israeli occupation army entered the Syrian village of Saida, in Quneitra and adjacent to the Golan region occupied by Tel Aviv since 1967. Locals of this village denounced that the Zionist military set up a temporary checkpoint and started to stop and search some passers-by.
Following the overthrow of the government of Bashar Al-Assad on December 8 last, Israel intensified its air strikes to destroy the military infrastructure and the remaining facilities of the Syrian army, as well as expanded its occupation of the Golan, by taking control of the demilitarized buffer zone as well as Mount Hermon, and then, its army penetrated into the rural areas of Deraa and Quneitra.
