“Endless war, endless conflict, with no way out, consuming energy, human lives, money, everything, destroying the framework of normal life for the European Union. So we are in serious danger,” Orban warned.

According to the president, the challenge now is to convince the Russians to stop the war while they are basically winning.

The Hungarian leader’s comments followed attempts by US President Donald Trump to advance peace negotiations with Russia, especially after the US leader’s latest call to Russian President Vladimir Putin, which sparked fears and mistrust in kyiv and the EU over the details of a possible negotiated solution to the conflict.
