The military institution’s statement, announced on its official Telegram channel this Wednesday, specifies that the anti-aircraft defense detected and shot down 128 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over six regions of the country, most of them, 83, over Krasnodar.
The message adds that 30 drones were also shot down over the Crimean Peninsula, eight in the Sea of Azov, five in the Black Sea, one in the Bryansk region, and one in Kursk.
Russia has been conducting a special military operation since February 24, 2022, to halt Ukrainian shelling of civilians in Donetsk and Lugansk, two territories that gained independence from Ukraine in 2014 and joined Russia in September 2022 after holding referendums.
