The new research by the online investment platform Genial and the Quest institute pointed out that, for the first time, disapproval of Lula’s government is numerically higher than approval, even in states where he won the last elections.
Data revealed in January indicated this trend, with 47% approval against 49% disapproval.
Now the southeastern, southern and central-western states concentrate the highest disapproval rates.
Sao Paulo registered 55% negative evaluations against 16 positive ones. Minas Gerais had 51% disapproval against 22% approval.
Paraná and Goiás had the highest rejection rates, with 59 and 58%, respectively.
In the Northeast, where Lula traditionally maintains an advantage, the figures are even more favorable, but indicate a downward trend.
Pernambuco reflected 33% positive and 37 negative ratings. Bahia 30% approval vs. 38% disapproval.
