A communiqué issued by a variety of social movements, solidarity organisations and hundreds of Salvadorans conveys their rejection of the policies of the current administration of Donald Trump.
“We condemn the genocidal blockade, a real measure that directly suffocates the Cuban people, both inside and outside of Cuba, affecting all sectors of the island’s society. We also reject the defamatory campaigns that seek to undermine the value of this flagrant measure, and we reiterate the worldwide call to end it,” the text reads.
The document also condemns “the immoral policy of the US government to include Cuba in the list of countries that sponsor terrorism and its consequences”.
The message stressed that Cuba’s foreign policy is to provide humanitarian assistance in all areas of technological, technical and scientific cooperation, in a transparent and open manner, but never to promote actions contrary to the Charter of the United Nations.
The communiqué was signed by the Cuban Chapter, solidarity movements from different departments of the country, Operation Miracle and groups of veterans and war wounded.
