Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, leader of the Houthis, speaking from Sana’a this weekend, said that a resumption of Zionist military operations in the Palestinian enclave would provoke a military response against Israeli territory, especially towards Tel Aviv, the capital.
Al Houthi said his military forces are firmly committed through their religious, humanitarian and ethical obligations to support the Palestinian people.
The leader of the Ansar Allah movement assured that the Houthi forces are ready to open multiple military fronts in solidarity with Gaza if Israel resumes military operations.
The Houthis have controlled large areas of central, northern and southern Yemen since 2014, including the capital, after taking up arms against the government, an event that sparked a civil war that continues today.
In November 2023 they launched attacks against shipping bound for Israel through the Red Sea, as a response to Zionist aggression in the Gaza Strip.
