During a visit to the Mufti of the Republic, Abdel Latif Derian, the cabinet chief confirmed the continuity of contacts to force Israel to abandon the occupied positions even from the international borders enshrined in the 1949 armistice agreement.

Salam expressed to Lebanon’s highest Sunni religious authority the start of the reform workshop after gaining confidence in the Parliament and stressed that the main concern of the cabinet will be the interest of the citizens and easing the burdens on their shoulders.

The executive leader stressed the importance of returning Lebanon to its role in the region and establishing the best relations with Arab brothers and friendly countries.

The ministerial authority assured the religious reference that the government will pay special attention to urgent matters such as water, electricity, roads, the economic, social and financial situation, particularly the money of depositors.
