Since the 1967 Syrian Golan region’s occupation, Israel has not stopped violating the Syrian people’s rights and continues its aggression policy in a repeated attempt to impose a new reality on the occupied territories, Al-Sharaa said in a speech delivered at the Arab Summit in Cairo which was divulged by regional media.
The interim president considered that this Israeli expansion not only violates Syria’s sovereignty but also directly threatens the entire region’s security and peace.
He stated that we reiterate our full commitment to the Separation of Forces Agreement signed in 1974 under the auspices of the United Nations.
Al-Sharaa noted that we do not accept that the Israeli side continues to ignore these agreements and undermine stability in the region by intensifying its military aggression and increasing settlements on Syrian territory.
