At the meeting in Jakarta, Maharani assessed the possibilities of upgrading bilateral relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership, and affirmed that Indonesia always attaches importance to strengthening ties of friendship and multi-faceted cooperation with Vietnam.
Both sides agreed to work together to raise the value of trade exchange to US$18 billion by 2028.
The Legislative Chairwoman stressed the importance of fostering people-to-people exchanges as the basis for lasting friendship, and promoting cooperation between political parties in Indonesia and the Communist Party of Vietnam.
