The closure of these centers has significantly affected access to medical care for Afghan children, leaving many vulnerable to various health problems, according to reports by the Khaama Press news agency.
Save the Children Afghanistan warned that if immediate financial support is not provided, another 14 centers will face a similar fate in the coming weeks, the news service said. It emphasized that reduced funding has put Afghan children at greater risk, especially those suffering from malnutrition.
Programs designed to address child malnutrition have already been suspended due to the financial shortage, exacerbating the already precarious situation of children in need of urgent medical attention, Khaama Press quoted Khaama Press as saying.
