The president, who made statements to RBC Ukraina news agency on Thursday, considered that conditions were being created for holding new talks between Ukrainian and US negotiators as early as next week, although he did not specify the venue.

The US and Ukraine held talks in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, on March 23, and representatives of Russia and the United States also met in that city.

The Washington and Kiev delegations held a new round of talks in the Saudi capital on Tuesday.

The Ukrainians were led by Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, Deputy Head of Zelensky’s Office Pavel Palisa, Armed Forces representatives, and energy specialists.

Delegates discussed the conditions for a 30-day ceasefire on energy facilities, and the safety of navigation in the Black Sea.
