The Uzbek parliament announced on its official website on Thursday that the corresponding document, which provides “joining the agreement establishing the EDB,” as signed in Astana on January 12, 2006.
The said regulation was already approved by the lower house in January and was given green light from the Senate in March.
Since 2020, Uzbekistan has been participating in the EDB as an observer. The member States to date were Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Tajikistan.
The EDB focuses on projects that have a significant effect on integration and contribute to the sustainable development goals of its members.
