Nicaragua highlights visit of Russian Security Council authority

Managua, Apr 23 (Prensa Latina) The co-president of Nicaragua, Rosario Murillo, highlighted the visit of the Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council, Oleg Khramov, to strengthen the cooperation existing today between the two countries in that area.

“We are working, meeting, seeing all aspects of our solidarity, complementary cooperation, cooperation for security, peace and welfare of our peoples,” said the dignitary in the media of the citizen power.

She added that they are two days of work with the different institutions of the Sandinista Government, focused on cybersecurity and the training of specialists in this “very urgent and current issue”.

On the eve, in a meeting with the Russian delegation headed by Khramov, Nicaragua’s presidential advisor for investment issues and international cooperation, Laureano Ortega, highlighted the importance of ties with the Eurasian nation.

“We are cooperating with our Russian brothers for multilateralism, the right of peoples to develop under their own conditions, capacities, cultures, criteria in defense of our sovereignties, territorial integrity, and our national dignity,” he stressed.

He assured that this visit, within the framework of the work of security, information and training of Nicaraguan specialists, will strengthen the will to provide the people with peace and tranquility, besides continuing to work closely with Russia.

Khramov, in turn, said that they will continue to work together, as they have a lot to do to strengthen friendly relations to maintain security and justice in both countries.

“Joint work in this sphere will contribute to the prevalence of justice in the world and in this regard we note with satisfaction the development of Russian-Nicaraguan cooperation in the fight against threats in the sphere of information.”

“We confirm the affinity of approaches and coincidence of interests of Nicaragua and Russia in the formation of an international information security system,” he stressed.
